Here is an outline of some of the strategies I use to apply for internships, jobs, clubs, and other opportunities.

Describing projects well

Checklist

• use “STAR”
• use emphatic language
• use precise terms and quantifiers
• eliminate vagueness and exaggeration

• Included priorities and preferences?
• Identified what is exciting in the role?
• Provided ways that the role will aid growth in knowledge and skill?
• Provided some fact about the organization?
• Mention the work culture?
• Refer to a problem that you will be responsible for addressing?
